Why Groom?

Our groomer can detect:

  1. Flea Allergic Dermatitis (FAD)
  2. Ticks
  3. Dental problems
  4. Skin problems
  5. Ear infections

Don’t let your “doggie doo” suffer needlessly, scratching and licking their body raw due to dry skin, fleas or ear infections.

SHEDDING
Every dog sheds to some extent. Rotweilers & Weimeraners are light shedders. Golden Retrievers, German Shepards & Collies are heavy shedders.
Bichon’s, Lhasa Apso’s, Shitzu’s, & Maltese’ require clipping to look their best.
Our groomer has the tools and knowledge to make your pet look their best.

4 Season Care
Your pet needs care throughout the seasons!

SPRING— When “fleas come alive”, protect them with a trip to the vet, for the latest in flea & tick control products. If your pet does acquire a flea problem, a monthly flea bath can reduce the stress placed on them. Fleas leave their eggs in your carpets and hatch during the winter months, making this a year round problem for your family and your pet.
*DID YOU KNOW? Fleas do not live on your dog! They live in your carpet & furniture. They only jump on your dog to breed, and they can multiply by 3000 per day!
*TRY SOME GARLIC IN THEIR FOOD & WORK ON FLEAS FROM THE INSIDE-OUT!

SUMMER—This time of year can also be stressful for pets who spend most of their time outdoors. Heat and Sun can dry your pets skin. We have a variety of shampoos and conditioners for dry, irritable & sensitive skin. And ALWAYS give them plenty of water!
*1 TSP OLIVE OIL IN THEIR FOOD WORKS WONDERS FOR PETS SKIN!

FALL– As the weather turns cooler, your pet will shed it’s summer coat and “put-on” their winter coat. Regular grooming and brushing can reduce the “dog hair” left on your furniture, clothes, & carpets. It is also the time to eradicate any fleas left on your pet (& in your home) from the spring & summer. Now would be a good time for a flea bath. (You might consider “bombing” the house while your pet is with us for grooming, to avoid re-infestation upon their return) Also, with the upcoming holidays, wouldn’t it be nicer to smell your holiday dinner, than that of “Scruffy’s” romp in the swamp?

WINTER— Don’t forget your pet during the winter months. Caustic ice melting chemicals can damage your puppies paws. Dogs also love the taste of antifreeze, which is highly toxic and can be fatal.

Most dogs love to romp in the snow. If the hair in-between the pads grows into debris gathering mats, ice can build up between the pads of their paws and cause pain. It can be compared to walking around with a stone in your shoe! Not very comfortable. Dogs will lick at the affected area and make the pad raw. This is very painful for your pet. Our groomer can check the pads and trim the hair if necessary.
